I’m thrilled to announce that, beginning in February, I’ll be teaching an introduction to Greek and Roman Mythology class for Gifted Homeschoolers Forum. The class will be done via video chat, for gifted 8-12 year olds. I’m so excited to have this opportunity to talk about myth with a whole new generation of kids! We’re going to use D’Aulaires Greek Myths as a standard text, and we’ll be reading bits of the Homeric Hymns, Ovid’s Metamorphoses, and The Odyssey as well. This is going to be fun!

In other news, I just submitted my first workshop proposal to Esalen, for a workshop called “Mythic Awakenings: Innovation and Creativity Using Tools from Myth”. It’s based on the book I’m working on right now, which uses myth to teach people from any field how to innovate and be creative. I’m having a blast working on it.
