Hello All,

I know it’s been a while with no updates on this site, but there is a lot going on, and I have lots of news to share. Our family has recently moved house, which took up a lot of time, unfortunately. But, we’ve settled in now, and I’m working hard, bringing stories and myth wherever I go. 😉

I’m nearing the finish line on my spring class on Greek and Roman myth for Gifted Homeschoolers Forum. The class has gone really well, and I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be teaching it again in the fall, along with a new, year-long class on Comparative Mythology. More details on each class should be available shortly. So, if you have an 8 or up child who is interested in myth, consider signing them up for my class.

I’m still working on my new nonfiction book on myth and creativity, tentatively called “Mythic Awakenings”. The book proposal is mostly finished, and I’ve got both the introduction and the first chapter in draft right now. I’m hoping to begin sending out the book proposal in May. As I work on this book, I also have two novels planned for this year, and I’m working on outlines for both. Magical, mythical reads, all three. I hope you’ll read them all, once they’re available!

In June I’ll be joining Ali Valdez of Sattva Yoga for her current Teacher Training, teaching a section on the Ramayana, the Hero’s Journey, and Archetypes. Ali and I are also planning a trip to Greece, combining myth, creativity, and yoga for the fall of 2014. More information on this trip will be posted shortly. The itinerary is being planned as I write this. It’s going to be a great trip!

Lastly, I’ve been invited to become a regular columnist for The Creativity Post. The Creativity Post is a site that publishes articles and research on the topics of creativity and innovation, and I’ll be writing articles for them on creativity and myth. More to come on that!
